Bags to Benches Program Ending for Lakers Lions

Web posted November 14, 2023
The Lakers Lions club has had great success with participation in the NexTrex Bags to Benches program, having kept over 7,500 pounds of plastic from reaching landfills, and earning us 15 benches for the communities we live in. The club extends their gratitude to the people that made this possible! Unfortunately, the program is changing substantially and the club is no longer able to participate.

The Lions will continue to collect plastic at the set locations until the end of November.

After that community members can continue to recycle their plastic bags at the following businesses in the area.

Each of the businesses have receptacles in their lobbies marked for plastic bag recycling: Cub Foods in Brainerd and Baxter; Super One Foods in Crosby and Baxter; WalMart in Baxter; and Kohl’s in Baxter. Questions or comments can be directed to Lakers Lions Club @ jmp21618@gmail.com
