| 2 Vehicle Collision North of BrainerdWeb posted January 24, 2012 On January 14, at approximately 8:12 p.m. the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two vehicle collision on CR 49 (Wise Road) near Ponds Edge Trail just north of Brainerd. The driver of one of the cars, Justin Don Dechon (23 yoa) of Litchfield, and his passenger, Jacob Steven Steininger (23 yoa) of Brainerd, were both unresponsive at the scene and transported by North Memorial Ambulance to Essentia in Brainerd before being airlifted to North Memorial in the metro. The driver of the SUV, Mary Kaye Scott (61 yoa) of rural Brainerd, and her passenger, Aliyah Rae Scott (5 yoa) were transported by private vehicle to Essentia in Brainerd for treatment of their injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Assisting the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office at the scene was the Brainerd Police Department, MN State Patrol, Brainerd Fire Department, and North Memorial Ambulance Service. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
