Hardwick retired after this year’s event - photo submitted | Lakes Area Habitat for Humanity Hosts Annual Dinner and AuctionLakes Area Habitat for Humanity hosted its 12th Annual Dinner and Auction on Thursday, October 29th, 2009 at the Breezy Point Convention Center. The evening, which included both a silent and live auction, was a great success. LAHFH Executive Director Kevin Pelkey is grateful for the turnout and show of support. “The evening – along with being a lot of fun – also underscores the importance of what we do as an organization. The ability to see a tangible show of support, not only financially, but in the number of supporters who attended, was very humbling.” As planning moves forward for the 2010 event, it will do so without longtime Dinner Committee chair, Sandy Reuther who is retiring from her post after twelve years. Mary Hardwick, who organized the auction for the past twelve years, will also be retiring. The Dinner/Auction Committee will now be chaired by Sally Jacobson. Lakes Area Habitat for Humanity sincerely thanks all who donated to and attended the event, especially the event sponsors: Hunt Family of Businesses; Linnea and Jim Anderson; Edina Realty, Nor-Son Inc; Brainerd Savings and Loan; Jacobsen Mediation; Salem Lutheran Church; Laura and Brandon Pederson/Pederson Team; Brainerd General Rental, Brainerd Lakes Health SJMC/BMC; Ladyslipper Travel of Walker; Baxter Chiropractic; Bremer Bank; AccountAbility Solutions; Happy Birthday Jamy Olson - love Mom, Dad and Garrett; Frandsen Trust; and Nancy and Roger Houg.
