Rangers Down Tigers

The Crosby-Ironton Rangers girls dealt the visiting Pine River-Backus Tigers their first loss of the season by a score of 46-35 on Tuesday, Dec. 22.

The win improved the Rangers record to 6-1 overall on the year and kept them tied with Pequot Lakes for the lead in the Mid-State Conference standings at 3-0.

Jana Anderson led all scorers with 16 points and Missy Foote added ten points and grabbed a team high nine rebounds for C-I.

The Rangers hit eight shots from beyond the arc led by Anderson with four.

Sienna Miller dished out seven assists and Katie Swanhorst added six points for the Rangers.

Hanna Lemberg scored 15 points for the 6-1 Tigers, who made just 12 of 54 attempts from the floor.

The Rangers played in the Pierz tournament Monday against Long Prairie and face the winner of the Pierz/Lester Prairie-Holy Trinity game.
