|  | Crooked Lake VFD Propane TrainingWeb posted September 19, 2023 The Crooked Lake Volunteer Fire Department participated in a propane fire training session on Tuesday, September 12 at the Crooked Lake Fire Hall in Outing. While propane fires are rare, hands-on training for this type of fire are a real opportunity for rural fire departments. Propane tanks have increased their safety features over the years, most homes in the area are heated with the gas, meaning most area homes and businesses have tanks connected, and in the case of a stucture fire, propane tanks are a big source for concern. The training was provided by F.I.R.E. Inc of Crosslake and the propane was supplied by AmeriGas.
