Though the morning was foggy, the sun came out and shined on the 27th annual Whitefish Antique and Classic Wood Boat Rendezvous Saturday, June 21 on Moonlite Bay in Crosslake.

This year the event was held a month earlier than it has been in past years. Coordinator Bill Terry said the show date was moved to put an extra month between the Whitefish show and the Gull Lake Classic Boat Show, which is in August.

"We wanted to put a little time between the two quality shows in the area," Terry said, adding that sponsors had also requested that the show be held earlier in the season.

More than 60 boats were on display Saturday, including both fiberglass and wood models, many from the 1920s and '30s. Antique toy boats were also on display on the deck of Moonlite Bay Restaurant.
