Twin Cities Artist Teaches Workshop in Crosslake
Web posted November 5, 2019
The Crosslake Art Club hosted a three-day watercolor workshop October 21-23 which featured Lake Elmo artist Catherine Hearding. Hearding has over 30 years of watercolor experience and teaches classes full-time in White Bear Lake and Minnetonka.
Sixteen area artists from the club took the workshop, and it was held at the Crosslake Community Center. During the three days, the attendees worked on improving their skills in watercolor, with Hearding teaching them more about the importance of such concepts as value, shapes, edges, and color theory.
The Crosslake Art Club typically holds 2-3 workshops a year that feature well-known and accomplished artists as instructors. The club meets the first Monday of every month at 12:30 at the Crosslake Community Center. Everyone is invited. Contact President Renae Saunders at 320-579-0157 for more information.
