Twin Cities Boy Scout Completes Eagle Project at Crosslake Area Historical Society

Nick LeRoy, member of Boy Scout Troop 498 from Spring Lake Park, MN, recently completed his Eagle Scout project at the Crosslake Area Historical Society. Nick cleared out a 150 foot path going from the back of the museum grounds to the Pine River which he lined with logs and filled with 12 cubic yards of wood chips donated and delivered by Crow Wing Power. He also installed an 8 foot bench, 2 wood duck houses, and a sign. Nick was assisted by fellow scouts Matt LeRoy, Joe Kollodge, Calvin Jones, Nathan Angerhofer, and by his friend Jenna Erickson. Also assisting were his grandparents, David and Nancy Rudberg, who are on the Historical Society Board of Directors. His mother, Anne LeRoy, is Scoutmaster of the troop. Materials for the project were donated by Build-All Lumber and Ace Hardware of Crosslake. Reed’s Market and Subway of Crosslake donated food for the workers. The Historical Society would like to thank these businesses as well as Nick and his helpers for a job well done on this community project.
