Web posted September 11, 2018
The Crosslake Historic Log Village will be the site of the annual Cider and Candlelight Tour on Saturday, September 29 from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the 1900 Village at night, lit by lanterns and candles as in a century ago. Buildings will be heated with wood fires if it is cool. Costumed volunteers will provide tours of the historic buildings. Hot apple cider and fall treats will be served in the Livery. Peanuts and candy corn and root beer will be available in Duffy’s Tavern.
Ray’s Promenaders, local square dancers will entertain in the Livery. Visitors are invited to join in the dance! There will be “open mic” on the deck of the Town Hall for individuals to offer a song or non-political dissertation. Children are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to entertain, read a poem or a composition.
There is no admission charged for this event which is a favorite among the locals. Donations will be gratefully accepted to maintain the Historic Log Village.
