Jessie & Rich Eide recognized for Contributions to WCYC

Web posted January 11, 2022
Jessie and Richard Eide are great examples of committed community leaders who see how important it is to make visitors and residents feel welcome.

They promote and sponsor community events to raise money for various organizations. The popular Cardboard Boat Races in August is one such event that entertains hundreds of people. Some of the proceeds of this event go to the Whitefish Chain Yacht Club. A generous donation from the Eide’s made to the WCYC helps to support its mission of “safety on the water”. Youth boating and swimming lessons are provided free of charge to residents and visitors to the Whitefish Chain each summer.

“Jessie and Rich are anchors in our community”, stated Bonnie Coffey, Commodore of the WCYC. “The restaurant is well known and is a visual landmark and an important presence on the chain.” “With this donation, we can continue to provide the swimming and boating lessons for youth and ensure that more youth will understand how to have fun swimming and boating on the chain.”
