Crosslake Historic Log Village Closed for the Season
Web posted October 12, 2021
The Crosslake Historic Log Village celebrated its last event of 2021 with the popular Cider and Candlelight Tour which was held in conjunction with Celebrate Crosslake Days. Lanterns were hung throughout the Village to light the way for visitors in the dark, cool evening. The weather cooperated and the crowds gathered at the Village to enjoy hot cider, fall treats, music and wagon rides pulled by Deb Dahlke with her FARMALL tractor. Music was provided on the Town Hall porch by young Kale Jones from Emily who took over open mic. Several other musicians shared their talents. Ollie Skurdahl imparted his knowledge of logging in the Learning Livery.
The board of directors held their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. President Mary Kate Williams congratulated the board on very successful year! The season ended on a “high note!”
Special thanks went out to Nancy and Larry Haggerty for hosting a very profitable cocktail party fundraiser at their home in September.
Ollie Skurdahl was thanked for his sharing his gift of logging knowledge in the Livery through the summer every Sunday.
Ideas were shared for more events and programs to be planned for 2022.
The Historic Log Village is open on Saturdays and Sundays from Memorial Day through Labor Day from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
