On Your Mark, Get Set, Go...Ice Racing Returns to Crosslake

Matt Borden of Merrifield took the top spot in the first Crosslake Ice Car Races of the 2012 season on Big Pine Lake. Borden, running car #80, was first in the Studded and Rubber Classes on Saturday, Jan, 21.

Rounding out the Studded Class was Drew Seeker in second place in car #13 and Shawn Pratt of Merrifield in car #99 was third. Shawn Pratt also took third behind Taylor Pratt in the Rubber Class.

New this year is a 15 and under class in which Dylan Nelson took first place. Logan Pratt placed second in her first ever race and Connor Pratt was third. All three youth drivers are from Marrifield.

The Crosslake Ice Car Races are held every Saturday on Big Pine Lake. Races are free and open to the public.
