Camp Knutson 32nd Quilt Auction
Web posted August 21, 2018
The 32nd Annual Camp Knutson Quilt Auction was held on Saturday, August 11th. It was a beautiful day and the camp auctioned off a record number of quilts. There were 315 gorgeous quilts, many of which were from local quilters, auctioned off to the 190 bidders, raising a total $64,000.
Thank you to all of our quilt donors, the Paul Bunyan Auxiliary Volunteers, the Quilt Auction committee, and our generous buyers and supporters.
Our special guest at this year’s Quilt Auction featured one of our Camp Knutson Alumni, Ellie Wilson. Ellie is currently the Executive Director of the Autism Society of Minnesota and a director for the Down Syndrome Foundation Camp, both of which partner with Camp Knutson to provide therapeutic residential summer camp experiences. Ellie shared a powerful message about the impact camp has on every single person involved, the magic that happens at Camp and the village it takes to make this experience happen.
Our fund a need portion raised over $9,000 to assist with adding a fully accessible bathroom by our biking, nature and maintenance area.
Mark your calendars for next year’s Quilt Auction as it will take place on Saturday, August 10th, 2019. If you are interested in learning more or helping out with the Quilt Auction in the future, please email:
