Legion Post 500 Hires New Manager

The Crosslake American Legion Post 500 has a new manager in Missy Bressem.

Missy has always been involved with Legions and VFW’s through her father, as he fought in the Vietnam War and was a 100 percent disabled veteran.

She explained why applied for the Crosslake position, “I believe that Legions are great organizations and their members are always willing to help.”

Bressem has a degree in Business Management from the Minnesota School of Business. She wants to make her new job a career and hopes to bring fresh ideas and exciting changes to the legion.

She moved from the Twin Cities metro to Pequot Lakes after marrying a man from the area. Missy now resides in Pequot Lakes with her husband and 2 daughters, ages 12 and 10, and a son, age 7.

The Crosslake American Legion sponsors local national guide troops in the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. The women’s auxiliary provides several scholarships for local children.
