Larson was crowned by 2012 winner Emily Sjodin. - photo by Paul Boblett | 2013 Mr. Malarkey/Ms. Blarney Winners ChosenWeb posted March 5, 2013 Kim Larson and Danny Goerges won the annual Ms. Blarney and Mr. Malarkey contest held Saturday, March 2 at Manhattan Beach Lodge. Larson topped Mary Ehrlandson and Sarah Meyers, while Goerges beat out Trevor Hoff. Contestants were judged in five categories by a panel consisting of last year’s winners Emily Sjodin and Jory Carlson, Nicole Heule, representing Essentia Health, platinum sponsor of the parade, and Paul Boblett of Northland Press. Goerges, of Breezy Point, and Larson, originally from Crosslake but now residing in Brainerd, each won prize packages worth over $600 and a ride in the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 16. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
