| Hugo Man Dies in CrashA 29-year-old Hugo man died early Sunday, September 27 after the car he was a passenger in went off County Road 103 in Crosslake and crashed, the Crosslake Police Department reported. Eric Yanka was pronounced dead at the scene, which occurred around 12:45 a.m. Sunday. The driver of the vehicle, Eric Rivard, 30, Burnsville, and a passenger Daniel Gonzalez, 32, Somerset, WI, were transported by ambulance to St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd with non lifethreatening injuries according to the report. The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Department, the Breezy Point and Pequot Lakes police departments, Crosslake Fire Department and North Ambulance assisted.
