Crosslakers meet with Minnesota Design Team

Web posted April 11, 2017
Sixteen members of the Crosslakers, the all-volunteer group committed to continuing the work of the Minnesota Design Team’s (MDT) visit last September, visited St. Paul during the last week of March to meet with members of the MDT.

The meeting was held to share the group’s successes, and to gain new ideas to move Crosslake forward keeping their guiding principles at the forefront, including: enhancing the unique ecology of Crosslake; creating vibrant places that connect people to nature; better balanced facilities for driving, biking, walking and boating; providing a diverse mix of housing types and prices; and celebrating Crosslake’s heritage.

The day included touring the St. Paul RiverFront Design Center as well as the State Capitol and Senate Buildings.

Minnesota Design Team hosts included Lucy Thompson, St. Paul Department of Planning & Economic Development; Paul Mandell and Peter Musty, Capitol Area Architectural Planning Board; Todd Streeter, Community Collaboration Principal; and Sam Crosby, City of White Bear Lake.
