Crosslake Presbyterian Church welcomes Interim Pastor
Web posted March 14, 2017
Crosslake Presbyterian Church is pleased to welcome the Rev. Lilja Behr as Bridge Interim Pastor. Pastor Behr will begin her duties March 15th and will provide pastoral care and lead worship services for the congregation.
The duties of a bridge interim are to provide pastoral care until a full-time intentional interim can be chosen, thus allowing the church the necessary time to find that individual.
The Rev. Behr, whose first name is pronounced Lil-ya, is a retired pastor and chaplain. She was ordained in the United Church of Christ. She has a degree in elementary education and previously served in that field in Brainerd. She then attended United Theological Seminary, an ecumenical graduate school of the United Church of Christ in New Brighton, MN. She also took two years of training in Clinical Pastoral Education at North Memorial Hospital and the Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society. She has served both as a local and regional pastor for the Good Samaritan Society, has been visitation pastor for Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Baxter and has been a chaplain at Essentia Health St. Joseph’s Medical Center.
Pastor Behr is married and has children and grandchildren in the area. She resides in Brainerd, Minnesota.
