Manhattan’s to host 12th annual Ms. Blarney & Mr. Malarkey Contest March 2nd

The 12th annual Ms. Blarney and Mr. Malarkey St. Patrick’s Day Shamrock Prince and Princess Pagaent will be held Saturday, March 2nd at Manhattan’s at Manhattan Beach Lodge

All contestants must be 21 or older to enter; be willing and able to participate in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 16, 2019; be energetic and enthusiastic and… and have a whole lot of “blarney”.

For a registration form call (218) 692-3381 or stop by Manhattan Beach Lodge, Whitefish Lodge or the Crosslake Chamber Visitor Center. Manhattan Beach Lodge is located 3 miles north of Crosslake on Route 66.

It's the Year of the "Lucky Leprechaun" at the 45th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and Celebration on Saturday, March 16, 2019!

You don't have to be Irish to appreciate all the excitement associated with this decadeslong tradition voted Best St. Patrick's Day Celebration in the State of Minnesota! Dust off the lawn chairs, get your Irish face on and load up the whole family as this 45 year celebration insures fun for all ages! Gather your family and friends and search for the Pot 'O Gold beginning Thursday, March 14. Register for The 6th Annual Clover Dash 5K which takes place on Saturday, March 16. The race begins and ends in Crosslake's Town Square, so after the race you're in the perfect spot for pre-parade entertainment and more!

Purchase a $6 Raffle Ticket and get a free Blinkie Button! Raffle Tickets/Blinkies are available at Crosslake Chamber member businesses. Get Blinkie Button deals (Fri. & Sat. March 15-16), and join us the following weekend (Friday, March 22) at Andy's Bar & Grill for the Raffle Ticket Drawing Party! Your ticket could win you one of many terrific prize packages. Raffle ticket holders need not be present to win, but we'll have great door prizes for lucky attendees too!


Thursday, March 14
9 a.m. - Pot 'O Gold Treasure Hunt. The first of three daily clues released daily at 9 a.m. to guide you to the hidden Pot O' Gold. Find it and cash in on a prize package of goods and services valued at more than $1,000 courtesy of Chamber member businesses.

Friday, March 15
9 a.m. - Chase the Lucky Leprechaun to find the Pot 'O Gold

The second of three daily clues released daily at 9 a.m. to guide you to the hidden Pot O' Gold.

Saturday, March 16
7:45 a.m. - Race Day Registration. Whitefish Lodge & Suites (14150 Swann Drive) 9:30 a.m. The Clover Dash 5K Starting and finish line in Crosslake Town Square (14281 Gould Street)

Awards presented at 10:30 a.m.

8 - 11 a.m. - RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon Tether Rides - weather permitting - must be 10+ years of age. US Army Corps of Engineers Crosslake Recreation Area (35507 CR 66)

8 - 11:30 a.m. - Crosslake Firefighters Pancake Breakfast with kids coloring activity and beads for all the kids. Crosslake Lutheran Church (35960 CR 66)

9 a.m. - Pot 'O Gold Treasure Hunt. The third of three daily clues released daily at 9 a.m. to guide you to the hidden Pot O' Gold. If necessary, a fourth clue will be released Sunday morning at 9 a.m.

9 a.m. - 3 p.m. - Wake Up Bar, Arts & Crafts Vendor Fair and Outdoor Food & Beer Garden Whitefish Lodge & Suites (14150 Swann Drive)

10:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Maucieri's Food & Beverage Truck Crosslake Town Square (35746 Allen Ave)

11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. - Parade Participant Shuttle Service - for parade participants only. Park & Ride free Shuttle transportation from the Crosslake Log Church (37218 CR 66) to parade lineup in Crosslake Town Square (35770 Allen Ave). Please drop off all your float riders/walkers in the Town Square parade lineup area. One vehicle driver can then proceed to The Log Church to take the shuttle back to meet your group.

11 a.m. - 2 p.m. - Pre-Parade Entertainment, Shopping and Festivities in Crosslake Town Square. General parade lineup begins at 12 p.m. at Swann Drive and Allen Avenue

11:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. - Crosslake Communtiy School Family Fun. Games, face painting, food, book walk, prizes and fun! Crosslake Community School 35808 County Road 66

12 - 3 p.m. - 6th Annual Knights of Columbus Food, Maucieri's Beverage Cart & Warming Tent with Live music featuring ZZ Ace Crosslake Ace Hardware & Appliance (35592 Pioneer Road)

The Year of the Lucky Leprechaun. Chamber Bucks awarded to top 3 for-business entries and top 1 non-profit organization entry. Hubbard Broadcasting/WJJY will award most enthusiastic entry! Parade judges are located in the Better Living Concepts Sunhome at the Exchange Lot , midtown on County Road 66. Show 'em what you've got!
