Crow Wing County Landfill is open for business
Web posted March 24, 2020
The Crow Wing County Landfill is staying open for business while taking extra precautions to protect staff and the public during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Proper solid waste disposal is crucial to ensure the safety of all county residents and the environment”, said Ryan Simonson, Environmental Services Supervisor. “We can’t afford to let waste pile up with no outlet for disposal, and we are committed to staying open through this tough time.”
To help ensure everyone’s safety, all customers bringing material to the landfill for disposal must remain in their vehicles. Landfill staff will come out of the main office to assist customers if needed.
Household hazardous waste and recycling services are still open at this time. It is important to note that things may change over time based on the latest COVID-19 safety recommendations.
We would like to thank all of the customers that bring material to our landfill. Staying open for business and ensuring the safety of all county residents and staff is our top priority. Our thoughts are with all of the residents and businesses, especially those that have been negatively affected during this unprecedented time.
The Land Services Department is committed to providing excellent customer service while helping our residents make wise choices that protect Crow Wing County’s extraordinary natural resources. Citizens are encouraged to contact the Environmental Services Solid Waste Office at (218) 824-1290, or for more information, please visit the Crow Wing County’s Web site at www.crowwing.us and search for “Solid Waste”.
