Deputies and responders arrived and learned that a pontoon was attempting to dock when a mechanical failure caused the pontoon to accelerate into the dock. A female passenger, age 37, attempted to stop the watercraft from hitting the dock by sitting down and putting her feet out to stop it. She was unable to stop the watercraft and her feet slid under the front of the pontoon causing her legs to be pinched between the dock and the watercraft. The female was treated on scene for injuries and later transported via helicopter to a Twin Cities area hospital. Assisting on scene were North Ambulance and North Memorial Air Care. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
