|  | Emily Teen in Regional Yo-Yo ChampionshipJesse Drake, 13, of Emily, took part in the Midwest Regional Yo-Yo Championship on Saturday, June 21 at the Mall of America rotunda. Competitors from Minnesota and surrounding states gathered to exhibit their yo-yo skills and to earn a seed to the National Championship to be held this year in Chico, California.Jesse, the current Minnesota State Junior Champion, was taking part in his first Midwest Regional, and first time in the senior division. Jesse was able to qualify for the finals after a one-minute performance in the preliminary round. Jesse finished 14th out of 21 competitors.
