Funny Valentines to celebrate love and comedy at the Reif
Web posted February 11, 2020
A certain comedy can be found in every romantic relationship. From day-to-day (loving) irritations, to those special quirks that make our significant others blush, love isn’t true without humor.
Comedians Pat Hazell and Erica Rhodes bring My Funny Valentine to the Wilcox Theater at The Myles Reif Performing Arts Center on Friday, February 14 for a 7 p.m. performance.
One of the original writers for NBC’s Seinfeld and a veteran of The Tonight Show, Hazell is well versed in the humor of love. His wit is matched by Rhodes who has been featured on NPR’s A Prairie Home Companion, ABC’s Modern Family and HBO’s Veep.
The duo team up for an evening of hilarious and heartwarming stand-up comedy. Relationships, romance, dating, love or lack there of are all fair game. He said, she said has never been funnier.
“We couldn’t be more excited to bring Pat and Erica to the Reif to get their takes on the comedy involved in romance,” said Reif Arts Council Marketing Director Paul M. Gregersen. “These two are especially known for finding laughs in the most common of places. Americana humor at its best. I can’t think of a better date night.”
Bring your sweetheart, bring your friends and bring your sense of humor for an evening of laughter ever after.
Tickets for My Funny Valentine are available at reifcenter.org, by phone (218) 327-5780, or the Reif Box Office at 720 SW Conifer Drive in Grand Rapids. The performance is sponsored by Travel Leaders and The Center For Diagnostic Imaging.
