Ideal Fire holds annual Beef Feed

Web posted August 19, 2014
The Ideal Beef Feed saw perfect weather Wednesday, Aug. 13, for the annual fundraiser for the Ideal Fire Department. The Beef Feed serves between 2,000 and 2,100 guests each year, and this year the fire department prepared 2,045 pounds of beef, around 225 watermelons, 7,500 ears of corn and a whopping 600 pounds of cole slaw. Countless volunteers cooked, served food, parked cars, prepared and cleaned to make the fundraiser possible. Story and photos by Kate Perkins
