|  | Local Hockey Player’s Team Takes First at Tournament in BlaineMicah Miller (third row, far left) of Outing took part in in the Wal-Mart Hockey Cup 3 vs. 3 Tournament at the Schwan Super Rink in Blaine, MN on July 18-20. They played 6 games in the round robin Squirt B bracket tournament. This team of seven players, dubbed “The Huskies” for this event, won the Championship. On July 25-27 the entire Sting team played in the Breezy Point AAA tournament. Miller scored the game-winning goal with 35 seconds remaining, sending the team to the Championship game. The Sting played a hard fought game in the final but came up just short in a 3-1 loss. They placed second and their tournament record was 3-1. Miller was awarded the engraved Sting puck for best team player of the tourney. Other than Miller, all the members of these teams are from the Twin Cities Metro area.
