WAPOA holds 22nd annual Run for the Walleye

The Kids Sunfish Dash was once again the traditional kickoff for the annual Run for the Walleye at the Crosslake Community Center on Saturday, July 6, 2019. - all photos by Alan Sherburne
The 5K drew a total of 513 participants (239 men, 274 women), and the 10K drew 63 runners (36 men, 27 women). Winners: 17-year-old Heidi Engman (above) of Edina, MN won the Women’s 5K with a time of 20:40, and Eric Cogdill(below), age 38 from Ankeny, IA won the Men’s 5K with a time of 17:26

Ross Ring-Jarvi(above), age 32 from Idledale CO took the Men’s 10K with a time of 37:57; Jena Hauch(below), age 20 of Maple Grove, MN had a winning time in the women’s 10K of 46:06.
