Called the Winds of Remembrance Picnic, the event will be held Tuesday, August 6th at Luscher’s Park in Outing and will begin at 1:00 p.m. There will be an opportunity to visit with survivors and see archival footage and related video.
At 5:00 p.m. the church bells will ring to pay tribute to those that were killed.
The picnic is sponsored by the Outing Area Chamber of Commerce with the help of the Crooked Lake Firefighters, and will include a dedication of granite park benches in honor of those who did not survive the devastating storm.
