Cast, crew announced for ‘And Then There Were None’

Web posted December 26, 2017
Pequot Lakes Community Theater has announced the cast and crew for its February production of Agatha Christie’s "And Then There Were None.”

Director Craig Friday of Crosslake reports that 21 local actors and actresses turned out for the auditions Nov. 27 and 28. “All of them are very talented and read very well during their audition,” he said.

The characters and actors portraying them:
Fred Narracott - Gary Binda, Crosslake; Mr. (Tom) Rogers - Isaak Anderson, Pine River; Mrs. (Ethel) Rogers - Marjorie Harris, Breezy Point; Anthony Marston - Phylipe Bell, Pequot Lakes; Vera Claythorne - Karla Johnson, Brainerd; Philip Lombard - Eddie Binda, Merrifield; Dr. Armstrong - Travis Chaput, Brainerd; William Blore - Ben Gordon, Pine River; Emily Brent - Jen Anderson, Pine River; General Mackenzie - Larry Petron, Nisswa; Justice Lawrence Wargrave - Peter Herzog, Pequot Lakes.

The production crew includes Stage Manager Julie Friday of Crosslake, Technical Director Kim Utesch of Pine River, Technicians Jared Foss of Brainerd and Matthew Bonfig of Merrifield, Set Designer and Builder Tim Leajgeld of Pine River, Costumer Debra Binda of Crosslake, and Properties Master Gary Binda of Crosslake.

The plot follows 10 strangers invited to spend the weekend on Soldier Island off the coast of Devon England at the request of Mr. and Mrs. Owen. They become stranded as the weather takes a turn for the worse.

A mysterious recording accuses each of them of a crime. One by one they begin to die according to the lines of a sinister nursery rhyme titled “10 Little Soldier Boys.”

They all claim their innocence but yet they are all suspects. Who will survive? Who is the killer?

“And Then There Were None,” which is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc., will be staged Feb. 16, 17, 23, and 24 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb 18 and 25 at 2 p.m.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Five Wings Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
