Pequot Lakes: Collision with Deer Results in Rollover, Injury

Sheriff Tom Burch reports that on Friday, November 18th 2022 at 6:06 AM, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a vehicle rollover with injuries on County Road 1 in Maple Township, rural Pequot Lakes MN.

Deputies and responders arrived on scene and learned that a Waste Partners Garbage truck was southbound on County Road 1 when two deer entered the roadway striking the truck, causing it to leave the roadway and rollover.

The male driver, age 50 of Brainerd MN, was extricated from the vehicle, treated on scene and transported via helicopter to a St Cloud area hospital with serious injuries.

Assisting on scene were the Pine River Fire Department, North Memorial Ambulance and North Memorial AirCare.
