Head-On Crash Attributed to Slick Road Conditions

On November 6, 2009 at 8:08 am the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Department responded to a 2 vehicle head-on crash on CR 1 in Crow Wing County, approximately 6 miles east of Pine River.

The crash involved a Crow Wing Power pickup truck driven by Scott Seeling (age 36, of Breezy Point) which was westbound and another pickup truck driven by Thomas Bebeau (age 58, of Crosslake) which was eastbound. Slick (frost) road conditions appear to have contributed to the crash as Bebeau crossed over into the westbound lane striking Seeling.

Injuries to both drivers appeared to be minor. Seeling was treated and released at the scene by North Ambulance, while Bebeau was transported by North Ambulance to Brainerd for treatment of his injuries.

Assisting the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office at the scene were the Crosslake and Pequot Lakes Police departments, Ideal F.D., North Memorial Ambulance.
