‘The Rooms of Your House’ An Interactive Art Installation

“The Rooms of Your House”, a public art piece for people of all ages, was unveiled at an opening reception on Saturday, September 18 at the Remer Depot on Main Street. It was made available for viewing during the last two weekends of September and Thursday through Saturday, October 1-3.

Outing artist Therese Kunz created the interactive art installation with assistance from Susan Ugstad of Remer. The exhibit is supported by a grant from Forecast Public Art.

During the walk through, art goers were asked to choose an object along the way to place or glue on the community collage. That collage became an art piece for the Remer Depot.

The sculpture installation consisted of an entry point and an exit point and in between were four rooms and a long hallway that participants walked through, observed and listened.

This public interactive art piece was made to travel, and it is available to other communities to be installed at a site of their choosing.
